we just had oscar mandagaran & georgina vargas come through portland teaching workshops and doing some performances.
one of the qualities about their dancing was the simplicity of their dance when dancing at the milonga. it was all about attitude and the tangible energetic connection bwt the two. they were mesmerizing.

Sun, July 29, 2007 - 5:56 PMYes, thanks for the youtube post. That is what I call real tango. Not really concerned with (steps) like so many americans but just the music and the dance. There are so many in Portland that dance open and are only concerned with the steps and and that is not what tango or these people are about. I hope they come to Hawaii some time soon!
